PROCESS TO OBTAIN BIRTH CERTIFICATES IN THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA (KSA) FOR NON-SAUDI NATIONALS.

The introduction of each youngster brought into the world in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to an Indian parent is expected to be enlisted with the Embassy of India, Riyadh, or the Consulate General of India arranged in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is expected to be enrolled with the Embassy in one year of the birth. A duplicate of the Extract from the Birth endorsement is given by the Embassy to the kid after enrolling his/her name as an Indian public and a different Passport is given to the infant. Each youngster who is brought into the world to an Indian parent(s) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is given a different identification. It is unimaginable to expect to remember the kid's name for the identification of the mother/father. There is a compelling reason need to carry the infant kid to the Indian Passport Application center

Step by Step Process and Procedure is shown below: You must first book an appointment for a birth certificate through the Ministry of Interior one month before when you are due.

  1. How to book an appointment online: Go to the Ministry of Interior of Saudi Arabia website, select E-Services, and then Civil Affairs, in civil affairs, select book appointments, register your personal details and book your appointment. Print out the appointment reservation transcript.
  2. Get birth notification from the hospital: To get Saudi birth notification from the hospital, the required information is personal details of the baby’s parent like Nationality, Passport, and Saudi Iqama numbers, then the hospital will provide you a document with the first name mentioned on the footprint of the newborn child which you have to show to get the birth certificate of the child.
  3. Proceed to get Baby’s Birth Certificate: After getting the Birth Notification, visit the Department of Civil Affairs in Saudi Arabia. Make sure that you have all the required documents for this procedure. Application form 87 for this procedure can be downloaded and filled in advance. The form should be filled in Arabic; you can get a translator to assist you in filling the form. On arrival at the office, produce your appointment transcript to the receiving officer for verification, and you will be issued with a token number and wait for your turn. Once your number is called proceed to the counter with the operating officer and submit all the required documents. Return to your sit, and after a while, he will call on your name and issue you with a birth certificate.
  4. After getting you the Birth Certificate:  you will need to take it to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs office for attestation. Keep in mind that the provisional birth certificate is only valid for one year. The original Birth Certificate will be issued to the parents of a newborn after verification of the required vaccination of the newborn is done.

Fill in the application form through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website. Select the E-Service, under most used services, select Ratification services on documents. Scroll down the page and click on start the service, fill in the form, and make the necessary payments for the attestation. Finally, print the complete application form and visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs office to get your Birth Certificate attested.

  • Parent’s original passport and photocopy 
  • Parent’s resident permit original (Iqama) and photocopy 
  • Birth notification 
  • Appointment transcript 
  • Filled Application Form 87.

Fees: A birth certificate is provided for free; however there are payments for attestation of the document.

Validity: Provisional birth certificate is valid for one year while the original birth certificate is valid for life.
