On the 4th of February, people around the world celebrate World Cancer Day to raise awareness about Cancer. International Day of compassion aims to foster compassion within people towards those who are fighting this life-changing disease.

The number of new cancer cases identified each year has continued to rise around the world, despite major breakthroughs in cancer understanding, diagnosis, and treatment. The World Health Organization says up to 40% of cancer-related fatalities can be avoided. Since then, many cancer and health organizations around the world have made it a top priority to raise cancer prevention awareness, and World Cancer Day is a reminder of how important this goal is.

The goals of World Cancer Day:
